Fashion Jewelry

What is the quality like?

At Few Made, quality and affordability sit at the top of our priority list. That’s why our pieces are predominantly designed with a thick 14K gold-fill atop brass metal - which is much more durable than what’s known as ‘gold-plated’. We also use sterling silver with some additional base materials and natural stones.

Daily wear tips:

Keep your Few Made pieces effortlessly polished by removing it when swimming, showering, doing heavy exercise & sweating, and washing your hands. We also suggest taking precaution when applying generous amounts of creams or lotions.

Cleaning tips:

To clean, gently buff your pieces with a soft, 100% cotton cloth.

Demi-Fine Jewelry

What does demi-fine mean?

One of our most common questions! Demi-fine pieces are made with a thicker gold plating that allows for a stronger and more traditional looking gold finish. We love this type of jewelry because it has the ability to really take your wearable keepsakes to the next level.

What is the quality like?

Our demi-fine pieces are meticulously crafted with 14k gold filled or gold plated material as well as Vermeil, a type of jewelry made with precious metals aimed to last forever when carefully taken care of.

This new term fits with women of all ages - it’s finer than mall jewelry, but isn’t technically “fine”. Think: semi-precious stones, gold-filled jewelry, etc. These contemporary and trendier designs are more sustainable in the long term.

Daily wear tips:

In order to protect your Few Made demi-fine pieces, we suggest removing them while swimming, showering, doing heavy exercise & sweating, and washing your hands. We also suggest taking precaution when applying generous amounts of creams or lotions.

Cleaning tips:

To clean, gently buff your pieces with a soft, 100% cotton cloth. Do not use jewelry cleaner with any demi-fine pieces.

What is gold plated vs. gold filled?

The term ‘gold plated’ refers to a specific form of jewelry plating, where gold is the outside layer. The process of plating is when jewelry made from a certain metal or alloy is covered with a layer of another metal. Since solid gold jewelry can be expensive, gold plated jewelry pieces serve as a great, and still beautiful, alternative.

Gold filled jewelry is similar to gold plated, but the outside gold layer is much, much more thick. This means that gold filled pieces typically last longer and react better to daily wear, due to the stronger outside layer.
